Mother's Day Gift Certificate Templates
Free printable gift certificates suited for Mother's Day — softer palettes, room for a handwritten note, and designs that work whether the gift is a spa visit, a homemade brunch coupon, or something the kids made up themselves.
My mom keeps a folder of every certificate I made her growing up — most of them were free trips to her bedroom door for breakfast, or one of my brothers folding the laundry. She kept the paper, not the experience. That's why we'd rather you print on card stock and write the note by hand than send a polished email.— David, Apollo's Templates

3
Describe the gift in one line
One day at the spa, Saturday breakfast in bed for a year, a free trip to the garden center.
4
Print on 65-80lb card stock
Plain copy paper is fine but card stock makes it feel like a real gift.
5
Add a handwritten note
Inside the certificate or on a separate card. This is the part she will actually keep.
Asked & answered
Mother's Day questions.
What are good Mother's Day gift certificate ideas if I'm on a budget?
Time-and-attention beats dollar amounts almost every year. A 'breakfast in bed' certificate, a 'phone-free afternoon together' certificate, a 'weekend gardening help' certificate — these tend to outlast spa gift cards. The trick is to be specific about what you're actually offering and when.
Can my kids use these to make a gift certificate for their mom?
Yes — the Yellow Custom and Yellow Bow designs especially are kid-friendly. Have them dictate what they want to give Mom ('a hug whenever she wants one,' 'the next time I'll fold all the laundry without complaining') and type the field in for them. Print on card stock so the kid can sign it.
Is a printed gift certificate appropriate, or does it look cheap?
Printed on plain copy paper it can. Printed on 65-80lb card stock with a handwritten note inside, it reads handmade and intentional — which is what most moms actually want over another generic gift card.
What's a good amount to put on a Mother's Day gift certificate?
For a spa or restaurant gift card it's usually $50-$150 depending on what's available locally. For homemade or experience certificates skip the dollar amount entirely and describe the experience instead — 'one Saturday morning to yourself, no kids, no questions' reads better than '$0'.
Are there templates that work for grandmothers, step-moms, or mothers-in-law?
All four. The Pink Frame is the safest universal choice and the Brown Bow reads slightly more formal — both work for grandmothers, mothers-in-law, or step-moms. Personalize the recipient line ('Grandma,' 'Nana,' 'Maw-Maw') rather than defaulting to 'Mom.'
