Dance Card Templates

Free printable dance team card templates for senior night, recital programs, competition keepsakes, and end-of-season banquets. Lyrical, jazz, hip-hop, ballet, contemporary, pom — the position field is yours. Standard 2.5″ × 3.5″ Avery 5371 trading-card size, 3.5″ × 5″ frame-worthy keepsake, and 9-up team sheets.

Dance is a team sport that lives or dies on individual moments — the solo at competition, the captain's last performance at recital, the lift that finally lands clean. Trading cards capture those moments in a thing you can hold. Print one for senior night with the captain's portrait. Print a 9-up team sheet at the start of the season to swap on competition day. Print a row of cards as the program insert at recital.

Every card holds the team or studio name, dancer's name, jersey or roster number, and discipline (Lyrical, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Ballet, Contemporary, Pom — or whatever your studio calls it). The PDF generator runs locally; the file saves to your computer; nothing uploads anywhere; the whole thing is free.

A senior-night card kit that does the night's work for you

Dance senior nights are emotionally dense and logistically loud. Most studios run them at the end of the spring semester or at the final home football game. A short kit that travels well:

  • One Enlarged 3.5″ × 5″ card per senior. Use a competition or recital portrait — full-costume, not warm-up gear. The Classic banner reads formally; the Split Halves reads bolder for hip-hop/contemporary.
  • A frame to put it in. A 4×6 frame fits the 3.5×5 card with a small white border. Studios usually buy a single frame style in bulk so the gift line at the senior banquet looks coordinated.
  • A 9-up team sheet for the studio lobby. Print the same nine cards together as a wall display for senior week. Frame in a 16×20 with mat board.
  • Number the team sheet for swap day. Hand each dancer the row of nine identical sheets and let them sign each other's. By the end of competition season the autographed roster cards are the keepsake everyone hangs in their bedroom.
  • Coordinate colors. Pick a single team color for the Classic banner across all senior cards (navy + gold for most studios). Senior-night photo wall reads as a set instead of a patchwork.

Frequently asked questions

Will these cards work for senior night?
Yes — senior night is the #1 use case. The Enlarged 3.5″ × 5″ size is frame-worthy and the most popular pick for senior-night gifts. The Classic banner-and-band design pairs well with formal dance portraits; the Circle Badge design suits more contemporary/competition aesthetics.
Can I use these for a competition team — not just school dance team?
Yes. The placeholder text says "Studio" or "Team" depending on the design, and the discipline field accepts anything from "Senior Lyrical" to "Hip-Hop Pom-Pom" to "Contemporary Solo". Studio teams use them for competition-day keepsakes; school teams use them for football season + senior night.
What size do they print at?
Three sizes. Normal is 2.5″ × 3.5″ — standard Avery 5371 trading-card size; four cards per US Letter sheet. Enlarged is 3.5″ × 5″ — one card per page, frame-worthy size for keepsakes. Team is a 9-up grid on a single page, with up to 9 dancers per sheet — perfect for a competition-team roster.
Are there separate templates for solo dancers vs. ensemble?
No — the same template works for both. For a solo, the Enlarged 3.5″ × 5″ size with a portrait photo reads as the soloist. For ensemble or pom, the Team 9-up sheet builds the group at a glance. Many studios print one Enlarged solo card per dancer plus a single 9-up team sheet for the lobby.
Can I print these at a print shop instead of at home?
Yes. The PDF is print-ready at 300 dpi on US Letter (8.5″ × 11″). Any local print shop or chain (FedEx, Staples, Office Depot) can print a stack on heavy card stock. For senior-night gifts, 100 lb gloss or matte cover stock looks especially polished framed. No bleed adjustments needed; the templates are designed with a safe margin.
