Can I make the calendar in Japanese?
Yes — that's the point. Choose 日本語 (Japanese) from the Language dropdown and the whole calendar renders in Japanese: the month header (1月, 2月, …), the weekday row (日 月 火 水 木 金 土) and the national-holiday labels (元日, 成人の日, 天皇誕生日, and so on). Switch back to English any time. Very few free calendar tools render real Japanese.
Which holidays are marked?
Japan's national holidays (祝日) for the year — including the ones that move: Coming of Age Day and Sports Day (second Mondays), the spring and autumn equinoxes, plus substitute holidays (振替休日) when a holiday lands on a Sunday and the 'Citizens' Holiday' (国民の休日) that appears between two holidays. Names show in whichever language you pick.
Can I type events straight into the PDF?
Yes. Open it in Adobe Reader, Preview, Chrome, Firefox or any mobile PDF viewer, click a date and the box becomes a text field. Type your event, then save — no paid software needed.
What paper size does it use?
