In the western brand states — Texas, Colorado, Montana, Wyoming, Idaho, Nevada, and others — cattle can’t legally change hands without a brand inspection, and the inspector will want this bill of sale as proof of the deal. List every animal’s ear tag, RFID, or brand in the identification line (attach a tag list for larger lots), and record whether the price is per head or for the lot in the additional-terms box.
