Cross Country Card Templates
Free printable cross country card templates for high school, USATF youth, club, and NCAA. The Position field carries the runner's 5K PR (or 8K / 10K for college). 2.5″ × 3.5″ trading-card size, 3.5″ × 5″ keepsake, 9-up team sheets — perfectly sized for a varsity-7 plus the alternates.
Cross country is a team sport that lives entirely on individual times. Every kid runs the same race; every kid's individual finish counts toward the team total. The cards capture both — the team is the 9-up sheet (the varsity 7 + 2 alternates), and the individual is the Normal-size card with the runner's 5K PR in the position field.
Use the cards for invitational weekends (every team prints a stack and trades them), conference / sectional / state-meet keepsakes (one Enlarged 3.5″ × 5″ for each varsity runner who advanced to states), the senior banquet, and the offseason scrapbook. Position field accepts "5K / 16:42", "8K / 26:18", "10K (College) / 31:04", or just "Varsity".
Print three times a season, not once
Cross country runs from August to November. Most coaches print cards once at the end of the season; the smart ones print three times. A short season schedule:
- Mid-August: parents-night Team sheet. 9-up roster of varsity + alternates, with each runner's projected season-opener PR or last year's PR in the position field. Hand to parents at the season's first home invitational.
- Mid-October: invitational swap stack. Print 30+ Normal-size cards per varsity runner for the conference invitational weekend. XC traditionally has a swap culture — kids exchange cards with the rival schools they've been racing all season.
- Early November: state-qualifier Enlarged. One Enlarged 3.5″ × 5″ per runner who qualified for states or for nationals. Frame, present at the team dinner the night before the meet. Some programs frame these on the team-room wall going back 20+ years.
- Late November: senior banquet. One Enlarged per senior with their full XC career on the back side (re-feed the printed sheets). Frame, present at the season-closing banquet.
- Course record print. Any time during the season — the day a runner breaks the home-course record or the conference record, print a keepsake card. Date + course in the team field, time in position. Hangs in the team room.
