The position field accepts the global codes (GK, CB, FB, CDM, CM, CAM, W, ST) or the named version (Goalkeeper, Center Back, Outside Back, Defensive Mid, Center Mid, Attacking Mid, Winger, Striker). Use them for the U-12 club roster swap, the high school senior night, the AYSO end-of-season trophy banquet, the academy showcase team, or the parents’ end-of-season group-text card-bomb.
The kit name goes in the Team field — “FC Crossfire 09 ECNL”, “Blackhawk SC G2010 Premier”, “Lakeside Varsity Girls”, “AYSO U-10 Strikers”. The PDF generates locally; no upload, no account, no watermark.
Cards for the college coach in the bleachers
ECNL, MLS Next, ECRL, GAL, and major college-prep showcases run on a 2-day, 4-game weekend rhythm — and the college coaches in the stands take dozens of cards home. A short list of what works at showcase weekends:
- One Normal-size card per player, 2.5″ × 3.5″. Print a stack of 30+ per player for a 2-day showcase. The cards are the calling card — a coach in the bleachers takes one home with the kid’s photo, jersey, position, club, and graduation year.
- Position field doubles as recruiting line. Use “CB / 2027 / 5′10″” or “GK / 2026 / Lefty” — fits the band, gives the coach the three things she needs to know without flipping the card.
- Team field for club + level. “FC Crossfire 09 ECNL” or “Blackhawks SC G2010 NPL”. Tells the coach which league + which division.
- Photo from a club portrait day, not a game. Game photos at the 2.5×3.5 size lose the player’s face; a clean portrait reads at any distance.
- Print the back too. The cards print one-sided, but you can run them through twice (plain side up the second time) to add an email, phone number, GPA, and SAT score on the back. Showcase coaches expect this.
Cards for the spring banquet (and a frame for the U-10-through-now coach)
Club soccer rosters often end the spring season with a banquet-and-trophies evening at a local pizza place. Print the 9-up team sheet on cardstock for parents to take home, plus one Enlarged 3.5x5 per kid for the keepsake table.
For coach gifts: a 9-up sheet with the coach in the bottom-right card slot, “Coach” in the position field, the team’s photo from the regional tournament on the team-name banner. Frame the whole sheet (or just cut the coach’s card out and frame that one). Each kid signs around their own photo before it’s framed. Sentimental and zero-budget.
