One numbered edition a day, kept forever
Every morning at 3:01 Pacific the site mints five puzzles, one per line, stamps them with the edition number and date, and files them. The puzzles come from the same technique-graded engine as the classic generator, so an Easy edition finishes with singles alone and an Expert edition needs a chain, every day without exception. Each edition is verified to have exactly one solution before it is issued.
The point of a numbered edition rather than a random puzzle is that everyone gets the same one. A couple can race, a classroom can solve edition 111 together, a care-home activity room can pin the Easy line by the coffee. Past editions are never regenerated: the archive prints the original two-page PDF for any date.
