Smiley Face & Emoji Party Invitations

Two happy-face invitations drawn from scratch, not copied from any phone's emoji: Smiley Scatter, round line-drawn faces (winking, laughing, one in sunglasses) around Smile, It's a Party and Good Times With; and Good Vibes Only, one big grin made of party pieces, with a streamer smile, balloon eyes and a ring of confetti, labeled Music, Snacks, Sunshine. Smiley Scatter opens in Sunflower, with Turquoise and Coral; Good Vibes Only opens in Lime, with Fuchsia and Sky.

Hosting tip
Smiley designs suit an easygoing daytime party. Pair them with a relaxed note, as the samples do: Bring your best smile and a side dish, or Good vibes are the dress code.
How it works

Details, wording, colors, download

Open any design above in the maker. Type the hosts' names, the date and the place; the headline is live text too, so Let's Party can become whatever you like. The back carries the details and one easygoing line, such as come as you are or bring a friend.

Pick one of the three palettes drawn for the design, then download a 5 x 7 PDF (front and back), a two-per-sheet letter PDF for home printing, print-shop PNGs with bleed, 4 x 6 PNGs for a photo counter, a phone-sized PNG to text or email, or a Word file. For more lines to put on the card, see the party invitation wording ideas and the party etiquette guide.

Frequently asked questions

Are these real emoji?
No. They're original round faces drawn for these cards, in the spirit of emoji but not copied from Apple, Google or any other set.
Are they for kids or adults?
Either. The faces are simple and bright; the wording on the samples is for a grown-up backyard party.
Can I send them by text?
Yes, and they suit it: download the phone-sized PNG and send it in a group chat.
