Luau & Tiki Party Invitations

Three tropical invitations: Luau, split-leaf monstera, hibiscus and a lei across the top, labeled Come As You Are To A, with the note Leis provided, come hungry; Tiki Party, two tiki torches and a palm inside a carved-wood border, labeled Hosted Under the Palms By; and Aloha, a ukulele, plumeria and a tropical drink under an arch, with the note Live ukulele, island snacks and mocktails. They're drawn with flowers, palms and torches rather than costumed figures. Luau opens in Fuchsia, Tiki Party in Emerald and Aloha in Lime.

Hosting tip

If you're giving out leis, say so on the card, as Luau's sample does, so guests don't buy their own. For the dress code, "island shirts and sandals welcome" (Tiki Party's note) is friendlier than asking for costumes.

How it works

Details, wording, colors, download

Open any design above in the maker. Type the hosts' names, the date and the place; the back has room for what to bring (a swimsuit, a chair, a blanket), a meeting spot and a rain plan. Water and sky are pale tints, so a stack prints light.

Pick one of the three palettes drawn for the design, then download a 5 x 7 PDF (front and back), a two-per-sheet letter PDF for home printing, print-shop PNGs with bleed, 4 x 6 PNGs for a photo counter, a phone-sized PNG to text or email, or a Word file. For more lines to put on the card, see the party invitation wording ideas and the party etiquette guide.
