Four jobs, one bookmark

A favor that earns its place setting.

Most wedding favors get left on the table. A bookmark with the guest's name on it goes home, goes into a book, and turns up again a year later.

Favors
The default job: one per place setting, name on the tag. Guests take them home instead of leaving them under the table like a matchbook.
Place cards
A named bookmark lying across the napkin does everything a tent card does — and earns its keep after the reception.
Bookmark programs
At 2.5 × 8.5 in, print the order of service on the back. Guests keep the ceremony instead of recycling it.
Save the dates & showers
The same designs work for the engagement party, the bridal shower favor table, and the anniversary years later.

On the design range: the set deliberately spans formal to playful, because a wedding is not one mood. The tuxedo, unity candles, and first-dance silhouette are black-tie; the eucalyptus sprig and heart garland are the quiet botanical end that suits an outdoor afternoon; the getaway car and kicked-off heels are for couples whose reception is a party. Mixing two or three across the tables reads as intentional, not indecisive.

Before you print 120 of them

Wedding favor questions.

How do I personalize a bookmark wedding favor with each guest's name?

Turn on 'Put a name on each bookmark' and type a name into each slot before downloading. The name prints on a small white tag in the design's own ink, so it reads cleanly even on the navy tuxedo and midnight first-dance designs, and you pick the typeface — Playfair, Tinos, Dancing Script or Prata — for the whole sheet. Names are printed into the artwork rather than left as editable fields; if the seating chart changes the night before, retype that slot and download the sheet again.

Can these bookmarks double as wedding place cards?

That's the most popular way to use them. A named bookmark laid across the napkin or leaning on the charger does the place card's job, and unlike a folded tent card the guest actually takes it home and uses it. Put the name at the top position so it's readable when the bookmark is lying flat on the table.

Can I make a wedding program on a bookmark?

Yes — pick the large 2.5 × 8.5 inch size, which is the traditional bookmark-program shape, and print the order of service on the back of the card stock (run the sheet through your printer a second time, or hand-letter it for a small ceremony). The front carries the design and the couple's names; guests keep it as a memento instead of leaving it on the chair.

Which designs are in the wedding collection?

Twenty designs: the rings, the cake, the bouquet, the dress, the tux, two doves, a champagne toast, the ceremony arch, an invitation with a wax seal, a heart garland, the getaway car, the first dance, wedding bells, a eucalyptus sprig, swans, butterflies, the sparkler send-off, the bride's kicked-off heels, lovebirds on a branch, and unity candles.

How much do DIY bookmark favors cost compared to bought ones?

A sheet of decent card stock runs a few cents and yields four favors, so a hundred-guest wedding lands well under ten dollars in paper — the PDF itself is free. Ribbon or silk tassels are the only real add-on. The four ink-light designs (the invitation, heart garland, eucalyptus sprig, and the invitation's pale companions) keep toner cost down when you're printing at that volume.
