Frequently asked questions

Why landscape orientation instead of portrait?
The side-photo layout pairs a tall 4×6 portrait photo with a wide calendar grid. That only fits cleanly on a landscape page — turning the paper 90° gives both the photo and the calendar room to breathe without shrinking either.
What if my photo is horizontal instead of vertical?
It still works. The frame is a fixed 4×6 portrait (2:3 aspect). At 100% zoom the entire photo fits inside the frame with white bars on the sides. Zoom in to crop, then drag to position the subject — usually centering on the face.
Should the photo go on the left or the right?
Match the photo's eye-line to the calendar. If your subject is looking right, put the photo on the left so they appear to look toward the calendar. If looking left, put it on the right. There's a Left/Right toggle in the side panel.
Can I print it on Legal-size paper?
Not directly — the layout is sized for US Letter landscape (11 × 8.5"). You can scale-to-fit Legal paper from the print dialog, but the designer doesn't have a Legal option built in.
Will my photo be uploaded anywhere?
No. Photo selection and PDF generation both happen entirely in your browser. The image data never leaves your device.
Are events on the dates fillable?
Yes — both in the live designer and in the downloaded PDF. Click any date cell in the designer to type events before printing. Then open the printed PDF in Adobe Reader, macOS Preview, Chrome, or Firefox — every cell is a multiline fillable text field, still editable afterwards. No paid Adobe Acrobat required.
