Coming from a spreadsheet
If your addresses live in a spreadsheet with one column per field, the quickest route is to build a single column that joins them with line breaks, copy that column, and paste it here. Then find and replace the double blank lines down to one. It sounds fiddly, but it beats a mail merge for a one-off card list, and you get to see every label before anything prints.
Why labels miss, and what actually fixes it
A label sheet is unforgiving in a way ordinary printing is not. On plain paper, a sixteenth of an inch of drift is invisible. On a 30-up sheet, the same drift puts the top of every address on the adhesive gap above it. Nearly all of the wasted sheets we hear about come down to one of three causes, and only one of them is the template’s fault.
Scaling.The print dialog defaults to shrinking the page slightly so nothing is clipped. That moves every label inward. Set it to 100% or “Actual size” every time.
Printer drift. Consumer printers vary by a couple of thirty-seconds of an inch, and yours will be consistent about it. That is what the nudge control is for — set it once and it holds for every sheet you print afterwards.
Wrong grid.The template was built for a different product number that happens to share the label size. This is the one that is genuinely the template’s fault, and it is why we only ship sizes whose exact margins we can verify.
The plain-paper proof catches all three in about thirty seconds, so it is worth doing the first time you use a new printer even if you are confident.
Sheets this fits

Switch the maker to “A list of addresses”, then paste your addresses into the box with a blank line between each one. Each block becomes one label, in order, left to right and top to bottom. The counter under the download button tells you how many labels and how many sheets you are about to produce.
What if I have more than 30 addresses?
The PDF simply continues onto more sheets. Paste all of them at once and the maker paginates for you — 90 addresses becomes three sheets. It will stop you at 20 sheets in one file, which is 600 labels; past that, split it into batches so the PDF stays a sensible size.
Can I start partway down a sheet I've already used?
Yes, and this is the reason most people end up here. Drag the “Start at label” slider to the first unused label and the maker leaves everything before it blank. Labels are counted the way you read — left to right along the top row first.
My address is longer than the label. What happens?
The text shrinks to fit, line by line, down to a floor of 5pt. Long street lines also wrap automatically. If it is shrinking further than you want, try dropping a line — “Apt 4B” on the same line as the street usually buys you the room you need.
Does it work with Avery 8160 as well as 5160?
Yes. 5160 and 8160 are the same sheet layout — 5160 is the laser version and 8160 is the inkjet one. The same PDF prints correctly on both, and on the thirteen other product numbers listed further down this page.
Is my mailing list uploaded anywhere?
No. The PDF is assembled inside your browser and handed straight to your downloads folder. The addresses you paste never travel to our server, which also means we could not see them if we wanted to.
