Green carries the motifs but the grounds are spread — cream, sky, mint, tan, gold dots, argyle, gingham, and three deep grounds in emerald, brown and navy — and one design, the Shamrock Sketch, is a single green line on white for anyone printing a classroom's worth.
I wanted this set to be Ireland as much as the parade. The leprechaun and the pot of gold are here because children ask for them, but the knot, the Claddagh, the harp and the cottage are the ones a library can leave on the table all March without anyone rolling their eyes. Which ones suit a classroom on March 17th?
Any of them — every design is drawn friendly and there is no drink on the table except the frothy Sláinte Mug, which reads as a root-beer float to a seven-year-old and is easy to leave out of a class set. Lucky Shamrock, Pot of Gold, Cheeky Leprechaun, Over the Rainbow, Four-Leaf Clover, Irish Hillside and Thatched Cottage are the ones children pick first; type each name in the builder, mix the designs and print the small size on card stock.
Which ones use the least ink?
Shamrock Sketch is a single green line drawing on white and costs very little to print. Lucky Shamrock, Irish Fiddle, Over the Rainbow, Irish Heart, Four-Leaf Clover and Golden Harp sit on cream, white or pale grounds and are the next lightest. Celtic Knot, Sláinte Mug and Claddagh Ring have solid dark grounds — emerald, brown and navy — and use the most. The ink-friendly badge in the builder marks the light one.
Are there designs without the leprechaun clichés?
Yes — half the set is Ireland rather than the parade: the Celtic Knot, the Claddagh, the Golden Harp, the Irish Fiddle, Step Dancing, the Thatched Cottage and the sheep on the Irish Hillside. Print those at the large size for a library display or a book gift and leave the leprechaun to the party table.
Can I put a name on each bookmark?
Yes. Every design leaves a clear band for a name, and you can type one per bookmark and choose where it sits. The name prints in the design's outline colour on a small white plate, so it stays readable over the greens, the gold and the dark grounds.
