Avery 8871 Clean Edge Business Cards
Clean Edge is Avery’s answer to “I can tell you printed these yourself” — die-cut smooth edges instead of perforation bumps, on heavyweight 93 lb stock you can print on both sides. The 8871 box gives you 200 inkjet cards on 20 sheets, and the builder below produces a PDF on its exact 10-up grid. Same free deal as everything here: no account, no watermark, built in your browser.
Contained in the logo area — never cropped or stretched. PNG with transparent background renders best.

Focus any form field on the left to see where it lands on the card. The final PDF prints 10 identical cards on one US Letter sheet (Avery 5371 and family).
For perfect Avery alignment
In your printer dialog, set Scale = 100% (Actual Size), paper = US Letter, orientation = Portrait. Do not pick “Fit to Page” or “Shrink to Fit” — those scale the sheet by a few percent and throw off the cuts. Print one test page on plain paper first and hold it up against an Avery sheet to confirm the cards line up.Compatible with Avery 5371 · 2″ × 3.5″ · 10 per sheet

Clean Edge, answered
Frequently asked questions
What makes 8871 different from regular Avery business cards?
Two things: the edges and the weight. Clean Edge cards are die-cut smooth — no perforation bumps along the sides, so they're hard to tell from print-shop cards — and the stock is heavyweight 93 lb (254 GSM) versus 80 lb on the perforated 8371/5371. A box is 200 cards on 20 sheets, inkjet-optimized, with Sure Feed guides.
How do the cards separate if there are no perforations?
The die-cuts hold the cards in the sheet just firmly enough to survive the printer, then release with a gentle flex — fold the sheet slightly along the cut and the cards pop free with a clean, smooth edge. That edge is the whole point of paying a little more per card.
Is 8871 really two-sided?
Yes — it's one of Avery's flagship two-sided cards, matte-coated on both faces for smudge-free inkjet printing front and back. Print fronts from our PDF, let them dry a few minutes, flip the stack per your printer's duplex orientation, and run the backs.
Will this template also fit the smaller Clean Edge packs (28877, 28878)?
Yes. Avery sells the same 8871 stock in 120-card (28877) and 90-card (28878) retail packs — identical grid, identical paper, smaller box. One template covers all three, plus the rest of the 2″ × 3.5″ family listed below.
Laser printer? Use 5877 instead.
8871 is coated for inkjet ink. If you're printing on a laser machine, Avery 5877 is the Clean Edge equivalent rated for toner — same smooth edges, sold 400 cards to a box. Our builder's PDF prints identically on either; just buy the stock that matches your printer.
