For perfect Avery alignment
In your printer dialog, set Scale = 100% (Actual Size), paper = US Letter, orientation = Portrait. Do not pick “Fit to Page” or “Shrink to Fit” — those scale the sheet by a few percent and throw off the cuts. What does “textured” actually mean on Avery 8873?
The white stock is embossed with a fine linen weave you can feel — the fingertip texture of expensive letterpress stationery, on a sheet that runs through your inkjet. It's heavyweight 93 lb (254 GSM) Clean Edge stock: smooth die-cut edges, two-sided printable, 200 cards per box.
Does the texture affect how print looks?
Subtly, and mostly for the better on the right design. Text and line art print crisply — the emboss is shallower than the ink layer needs. Large solid-color fills show the weave through the ink, which reads as intentional and premium with dark colors, but can look uneven with photo images. Text-forward layouts (our no-logo layout especially) are where linen texture shines.
Who picks linen texture?
People whose card gets held: interior designers, tailors, boutique owners, wedding planners, craftspeople, therapists. Texture is the one card feature communicated entirely by touch — it does its work in the handshake moment, before anyone reads a word.
Anything different about printing on it?
Use normal or best quality (draft mode skips ink the weave needs), and let sheets dry a couple of minutes before stacking — textured surfaces hold ink at the surface slightly longer. Otherwise it's the family routine: 100% scale, US Letter, never “Fit to Page.”
