Event calendar templates for community groups, offices and families

It's the layout community centers, churches and offices post for the year's events. For a single month use the monthly calendar template; for every month on one page, the year at a glance. Free, no signup, no Word or Excel needed.

Tips for the best result

Type events right into the PDF. Every date on every month has a fillable text box — click, type, tab to the next one. Works in Adobe Reader, Mac Preview, Chrome, Firefox, and mobile viewers.

Save your filled calendar. Most PDF viewers let you save a copy with your events intact, so you can build out the year gradually and come back to it.

Holidays are marked on every month. US federal holidays and popular observances (Easter, Mother's Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, etc.) are auto-labeled on the correct dates for the year you pick.

Print & bind. Print all pages on US Letter paper, fold in half, and staple down the center spine for a finished wall planner.

Frequently asked questions

How many pages will it print?
12 — one per month. Each page is US Letter (8.5 × 11") portrait. The full-year file is around 12-15 pages depending on how many months use a 5-row vs 6-row layout.
What's the best way to bind it as a planner?
Three popular options: (1) staple-fold — print on Letter, fold in half along the short edge, staple the spine; (2) spiral binding at any office-supply or copy shop ($3-7 per book); (3) three-hole-punch and slip into a 1" binder. Option 3 is most flexible — you can add inserts, weekly planners, or note pages.
Why use this instead of just printing the Monthly Event Calendar 12 times?
Convenience and consistency — one download, one print job, all 12 months guaranteed to share the same year and layout. If you only need a couple of months, the Monthly version is lighter; if you're committing to a full-year planner, this batches the work.
Are events I type in saved across all 12 pages?
Yes — each date cell on each month is its own fillable field. Open the saved PDF in Adobe Reader or macOS Preview and your events stay put. You can build out the year gradually and save your progress at any point.
Can I add my own holidays or anniversaries to the dates?
Yes — type them directly into the date cells. Birthdays, anniversaries, recurring meetings, school events, religious observances we don't auto-mark — all live in the fillable cells alongside the auto-marked holidays.
Are the holidays correct for the year I pick?
Yes. Holidays are computed for the specific year — Easter shifts to its actual date, MLK Day to the third Monday of January, Thanksgiving to the fourth Thursday of November, and so on, all per-year.
