Drive-By Baby Shower Invitations

Drive-by baby shower invitations: Honk & Wave with a little car and balloons, and Drive-By Gifts with a little wrapped gift, both for a shower where guests drive past, wave and drop a gift. The samples give a two-hour window on a driveway instead of a start time, with "Drive by, wave, and drop a gift" on the back. Choose a girl, boy or neutral palette, type the address and the window, and text the PNG or print it.

Hosting tip

Plan the traffic. Ask guests to approach from one direction, put a helper at the curb to take gifts so nobody has to park, and give the neighbors a heads-up so their driveways stay clear. The mom-to-be gets a shaded chair at the end of the drive.

How it works

Details, wording, colors, download

Open any design above in the maker. Type the parents or the moms-to-be, the date and the place or the link; the back carries the practical line this kind of shower needs: couples welcome, drive by and wave, the diaper raffle, or how to join online. Every design also downloads as a phone-sized image to text.

Pick the girl, boy or neutral palette drawn for the design (the badge follows it), then download a 5 x 7 PDF (front and back), a two-per-sheet letter PDF for home printing, print-shop PNGs with bleed, 4 x 6 PNGs for a photo counter, a phone-sized PNG or a Word file. For more lines to put on the card, see the baby shower invitation wording ideas and the etiquette guide.

Frequently asked questions

How long should a drive-by shower run?

Two hours is typical: both samples use a window, 1:00 to 3:00 PM and 12:00 to 2:00 PM. Guests arrive whenever suits them, so a shorter window can cause a line.

How do I word a drive-by baby shower invitation?

Give the address, the window, and what to do on arrival: the samples say "Drive by, wave, and drop a gift". The wording picker in the maker has more, and an RSVP helps you know how many cars to expect.
