Train & Aircraft Jigsaw Puzzles

Ten trains and ten aircraft, every one going somewhere worth watching: a steam engine on an autumn viaduct, the red Alpine express on its cliff line, a bullet train under Mount Fuji, a biplane over summer farmland, a flying boat above reef-ringed islands, a sailplane riding silent ridge lift. Machines make generous puzzles: hard edges, painted panels and windows that sort instantly, set against landscapes that do the slow work. The trains here are really landscape boards with a spine — the Rockies train hands you a glacial lake, the Welsh narrow gauge a rainbow valley — while the aircraft trade horizon for sky and ask you to build clouds around a silhouette.

Everything is deliberately unbranded and timeless: no liveries, no logos, just the shapes. The two hard cuts are the crowd-and-rain boards — the monsoon line and the night train in its lamplit station both open at 67 because that's what they deserve.

Frequently asked questions

Which board should a rail fan start with?
The autumn viaduct — a heritage steam engine, stone arches and October color is the genre's founding image, and its strong diagonals build fast at 48. The connoisseur's choice is the night train: a rain-lit historic station at 67 pieces, where the lamplight reflections do to you what fog does to a lighthouse solver. For pure scenery-with-a-train, the Rockies and the Alpine express are halves of the same postcard.
And the aviation side?
The red biplane is the friendliest opener — one bright silhouette over quilt-like farmland. Color Smoke is the crowd-pleaser: an aerobatic team pulling rainbow ribbons, every streamer its own sorting lane. The flying boat over the reef is quietly the best of the set — half aviation, half tropical lagoon — and the silver formation rewards anyone who likes their aluminum polished and their ridgelines sharp.
Are these real routes or trains?
The settings are true to their regions — a Swiss-style cliff line, Fuji behind the bullet train, a Welsh valley — but the machines themselves are deliberately generic: no operator liveries, no tail logos, no branding to date them. That's a design choice, not an oversight; it keeps the boards timeless and puts the attention on light, landscape and line.
Do any of these appear on other walls?
The scenery earns its usual passes: the Rockies train and the sailplane join the mountain wall, the floatplane joins the lakes, the coast line train joins the coast, and the Alpine express joins the Europe collection. The night station and the city commuter stay home — theirs is machine-and-light atmosphere, not landscape.
