This is the collection for color. Birds bring the saturated plumage — scarlet macaws over the canopy, flamingo pink doubled in a salt lagoon, iridescent peacock eyes — while the ocean boards trade in blue: a humpback and her calf hanging in sunbeams, sea turtles over the reef, otters wrapped in golden kelp. Frequently asked questions

Why do some of these open at 67 pieces instead of 48?
Because crowds cut differently. A penguin colony, a flamingo flock, a monarch swarm, and a coral reef are all repeating-pattern pictures — dozens of similar shapes in a shared palette — and they stay interesting at higher piece counts where a single-subject scene would turn tedious. The default is just the recommended landing point: the chips under every picture reach from a quick 12 to the full 100 either way.
What makes underwater puzzles harder than they look?
Water flattens the clues puzzlers lean on. Light falls off with depth, so an ocean board is one long blue gradient instead of distinct color zones, and reef detail repeats — one patch of coral looks legitimately like another. The trick that works: assemble the wildlife first (turtle shells, the manta's white belly, clownfish stripes carry high-contrast edges), then let the blues fall in around them.
Are these real species, portrayed accurately?
Yes — every scene depicts a real species in its real habitat: red-eyed tree frogs actually live in Central American rainforest, Atlantic puffins really do nest on flowered sea cliffs, and the monarch roost is how the Mexican overwintering forests genuinely look. The artwork itself is photorealistic rendering, not photography — each puzzle page says so plainly — with composition tuned for the puzzle table.
Is there a gentler starting point in this set?
Three good ones: Peacock (that fan is a giant radial color map), Scarlet Macaws (bright red bodies against soft green mist), and Sea Otters (warm kelp tones on cool water). Start any of them at 12 or 24 pieces via the piece chips. Save Coral Reef and Monarch Butterflies for when the timer stops feeling like pressure and starts feeling like a scoreboard.
