For perfect Avery alignment
In your printer dialog, set Scale = 100% (Actual Size), paper = US Letter, orientation = Portrait. Do not pick “Fit to Page” or “Shrink to Fit” — those scale the sheet by a few percent and throw off the cuts. What exactly is Avery 8371?
Avery's inkjet business card stock: 2″ × 3.5″ cards, 10 per US Letter sheet, matte white 80 lb (216 GSM) paper with perforated edges and Sure Feed guides, sold as 250 cards on 25 sheets. It's the inkjet twin of the laser-only 5371 — identical card layout, different coating so inkjet ink dries without smudging.
Is the 8371 layout the same as 5371?
Yes — the grid is identical (0.75″ side margins, 0.5″ top, 2 columns × 5 rows), which is why our builder's PDF prints correctly on either. The difference is the paper coating: 5371 is optimized for laser toner, 8371 for inkjet ink. Match the box to your printer type and the alignment takes care of itself.
Can I print both sides of 8371 cards?
Yes — Avery rates 8371 for smudge-free printing on both sides. Print the fronts, let the ink set for a few minutes, re-feed the sheets, and print the backs. Our builder generates a single-sided PDF; for backs, most people print a simple pattern or leave them blank.
