Vertical Logo Business Cards

Portrait-shaped marks — monograms, crests, stacked wordmarks, tall icons — get squeezed by most card layouts. This one hands them a slim strip running the card’s full height, so a vertical logo displays at its natural proportions while your details keep the rest of the card. The card itself stays standard 3.5 × 2 and prints 10-up on Avery 5371-compatible stock.

Focus any form field on the left to see where it lands on the card. The final PDF prints 10 identical cards on one US Letter sheet (Avery 5371 and family).
Print options
For perfect Avery alignment
In your printer dialog, set Scale = 100% (Actual Size), paper = US Letter, orientation = Portrait. Do not pick “Fit to Page” or “Shrink to Fit” — those scale the sheet by a few percent and throw off the cuts. Print one test page on plain paper first and hold it up against an Avery sheet to confirm the cards line up.

Frequently asked questions

What Avery products does this template work with?
The sheet is sized to Avery's standard 2″ × 3.5″, 10-per-sheet US Letter business card geometry (template 5371). It prints correctly on Avery 5371, 5376, 5377, 5870, 5871, 5874, 5876, 5877, 5911, 8371, 8376, 8377, 8471, 8870, 8871, 8873, 8876, 8877, 18871, 27871, 27881, 27883, 28311, 28371, 28877, 28878, 38871, 38873, 38876, 55871, 55876, 95318 as well as any non-Avery sheet labelled the same dimensions.
Is it really free? Do I need an account?
Yes, it's completely free. No signup, no email, no watermark. The PDF is generated right in your browser — your logo and contact details never leave your computer.
Is this a vertical business card?
The card itself stays standard horizontal 3.5 × 2 — what's vertical here is the logo strip: a slim full-height column on the left edge built for portrait-shaped marks. True portrait-orientation cards don't fit 10-per-sheet Avery stock, so this layout is how a vertical brand mark gets a horizontal card without being shrunk into a corner.
What kinds of logos suit the tall strip?
Stacked wordmarks, crests, single tall letters, totem-style icons, and any mark that's clearly taller than it is wide. The strip runs the card's full height, so a portrait logo displays larger here than it ever could in a square block.
My logo is roughly square — should I still use this layout?
Probably not: a square mark in a tall strip leaves empty space above and below it. The Square/Circle layout will display it larger. Switching takes one click and your details carry over.
What file should I upload?
PNG or JPG up to 5 MB — transparent-background PNG renders cleanest against the card. For a tall mark, aim for at least 600 pixels of height so it stays sharp at print resolution.
Not the right fit? Try the No Logo, Square / Circle Logo, or Wide Logo layout.
