Why we built this

Free templates without the SaaS funnel.

Most fax cover sheet generators on the web are lead magnets for paid online-fax services. Sign up, hand over your email, drop in your logo on their server, get a watermarked PDF (or a plain one with a "powered by [SaaS]" footer), then get retargeted with ads.

Apollo’s Templates is the opposite. We don’t sell a fax service. We don’t collect your email. The generator runs entirely in your browser — your logo is read by JavaScript on your machine, embedded into the PDF on your machine, and downloaded straight from your machine. We don’t see it, store it, or transmit it. There’s no watermark, no footer-credit, no signup wall.

If you fax often enough that a Word-editable template would be more useful, the six designs at /fax/cover-letter-word/ are fully editable .dotx files. If you’re sending PHI in healthcare contexts, the HIPAA generator builds the same kind of cover sheet plus a pre-printed confidentiality notice and the CONFIDENTIAL · PHI banner.

Is the generator really free with no signup?

Yes. The generator runs entirely in your browser. There's no account, no email gate, no watermark on the output, and no per-download limit. The only thing you'll be asked is whether to download the PDF.

Where does my logo go?

Your logo is read into your browser, embedded into the PDF locally on your device, and never uploaded to Apollo's Templates or any third party. We don't see, store, or transmit it. The PDF is generated entirely by JavaScript running on your machine.

What logo formats does the generator accept?

PNG and JPEG, up to 5 MB. Square or wide rectangular logos work best in the upper-right slot — the generator contain-fits your image inside a 130×80-point area without cropping.

What's different about the three designs vs the static templates at /fax/?

The three generator designs (Atrium, Forum, Beacon) are all built around an upper-right logo area, so the layout looks balanced whether or not you upload an image. The six static designs (Onyx, Sienna, Sage, Indigo, Marigold, Slate) on /fax/ aren't optimized for a logo and don't accept one in the PDF version.

Is the downloaded PDF still fillable?

Yes. The PDF you download is a standard AcroForm-fillable PDF. After you customize the header in the generator (your company name, logo, contact info), the per-fax fields — Attention, From, Send Fax, Date, Pages, Re — are still fillable in any modern PDF reader.

Can I use the same generated cover sheet for HIPAA-related faxes?

We have a separate HIPAA generator at /fax/hipaa/generator/ that builds the same kind of cover sheet but adds a CONFIDENTIAL · CONTAINS PROTECTED HEALTH INFORMATION (PHI) banner across the top and a pre-printed PHI confidentiality notice. Use that one for healthcare contexts. (Apollo's Templates is not a HIPAA Business Associate — see the page disclaimer.)

Can I save my customizations and re-use them later?

Not yet. Each session starts fresh. The privacy trade-off is intentional — we don't store your branding on our servers, so there's nothing to come back to. Save the generated PDF as your master and re-fill the per-fax fields each time, or save a Word version with your branding by downloading one of the .dotx templates from /fax/cover-letter-word/ and customizing it in Microsoft Word.
