Sip and See Invitations

Sip and see invitations for a gathering after the baby is born: Sip & See with a little teacup and a rattle under Come Meet Our Little One, and Newborn Photo with a photo window for a newborn photo. The badge holds the birth date (Born March 2 and Born April 9 in the samples), and the honoring line introduces the baby by name. Add your newborn's photo, choose a palette, type the details, and print or text.

Hosting tip
Run it as a window rather than a start time, and keep it calm. The samples set the tone, "Visits are short and sweet" and "Tea, cake & quiet cuddles", and ask anyone with a cold to come another day. Put a hand sanitizer by the door.
How it works

Details, wording, colors, download

Open any design above in the maker. One of these designs has a photo window: drop in a picture and drag it until it sits where you want it. Type the parents or the moms-to-be, the date and the place or the link; the back carries the practical line this kind of shower needs: couples welcome, drive by and wave, the diaper raffle, or how to join online. Every design also downloads as a phone-sized image to text.

Pick the girl, boy or neutral palette drawn for the design (the badge follows it), then download a 5 x 7 PDF (front and back), a two-per-sheet letter PDF for home printing, print-shop PNGs with bleed, 4 x 6 PNGs for a photo counter, a phone-sized PNG or a Word file. For more lines to put on the card, see the baby shower invitation wording ideas and the etiquette guide.

Frequently asked questions

When should you have a sip and see?
Whenever the parents feel ready, often a few weeks to a couple of months after the birth. The samples are set five to seven weeks after the birth dates in their badges.
Is a sip and see the same as a baby shower?
No. A shower comes before the birth and centers on gifts; a sip and see comes after and centers on meeting the baby. Some families hold one instead of a shower, and gifts are optional.
Which design takes a newborn photo?
Newborn Photo, as the name says. Sip & See is illustrated, for families who would rather keep the baby's photo off the card.
