Surprise Bridal Shower Invitations

Two surprise bridal shower invitations with a Surprise! badge and the same back note: "Shhh, it's a surprise: please arrive by 1:30". Surprise Gift is a gift box bursting with confetti under a bold Surprise Bridal Shower, and Shhh! is a quieter floral card under Shhh, It's a Secret and Surprise Shower. Surprise Gift opens in Lilac, with Citrus and Blush Rose; Shhh! opens in Sage Garden, with Blush Rose and Lavender Fields.

Hosting tip
Never mail a surprise invitation to an address the bride shares, or to her parents' house if she's staying there. Send the phone-sized PNG by text instead, make a host (not the groom) the RSVP contact, and tell guests where to park so the street out front looks normal.
How it works

Details, wording, colors, download

Open any design above in the maker. Type the bride, the couple or both brides, the date and the place or the link; the back carries the line this kind of shower needs: couples welcome, arrive by 1:30 for the surprise, how to join online, or what the office is providing.

Pick one of the three palettes drawn for the design, then download a 5 x 7 PDF (front and back), a two-per-sheet letter PDF for home printing, print-shop PNGs with bleed, 4 x 6 PNGs for a photo counter, a phone-sized PNG to text or email, or a Word file. For more lines to put on the card, see the bridal shower invitation wording ideas and the etiquette guide.

Frequently asked questions

What arrival time should go on a surprise invitation?
About thirty minutes before the bride is due to arrive. The samples say "please arrive by 1:30", which works for a bride who's been told to come at two.
Can I send it by text or email?
Yes, and for a surprise that's safest. Download the phone-sized PNG and send it in a group text or an email that doesn't include the bride.
