Why the half field has the goal at the top

Lacrosse offense is drawn looking at the goal you are attacking, with the space behind it in view — because that space is where the attackman at X starts and where half of a settled set gets initiated. So the half sheet puts the end line at the top, the goal 15 yards below it, the restraining line below that and the midfield line along the bottom edge, and everything a coach draws flows up the page.

The builder follows the same logic: on the half sheet it places attack and midfield only, mirrored into the attacking half, so the positions land where the play actually happens.

Is there a lacrosse field diagram with positions?
Build Custom does it for either game. On the men's field it places the ten — goalie, three close defense, three midfield, two attack and the attackman at X behind the goal — and on the women's field the twelve, from goalkeeper and point through the wings to first home. Each is a circle with the position under it; type a player's name and it prints instead.
Which sheet do I use for drawing plays?
The half field. It shows the attacking half at twice the scale with the goal near the top and the live space behind it, which is where most settled offense, man-up and ride diagrams live. Use the full field for clears, transition and face-off assignments.
Do you have a girls' or women's lacrosse field diagram?
Yes — a separate blank, because the women's field is not the men's field with different lines: it is longer and wider, with a goal circle instead of a crease, an 8 m arc and 12 m fan at each end, and a centre circle for the draw. It follows USA Lacrosse's women's diagram, which is what NFHS girls' rules use.
Can I add my team's logo?
Yes. Build Custom takes a PNG, JPG or SVG, places the logo top-right or bottom-left of the page and lets you size it. Add a team name and a subtitle — opponent and date — across the top and print.
Are the diagrams to scale?
Yes. Every line is placed from USA Lacrosse's own 2026 field diagrams: 110 × 60 yd with the goal 15 yd in, restraining lines at 35 yd and the 40-yd box on the men's field; 120 × 70 with 30-yd restraining lines and the 8 m and 12 m arcs on the women's. The dimensions page prints the numbers; these blanks leave them off so you can draw.
Is there a box or indoor lacrosse diagram?
Not yet. Box is played on a hockey rink with the ice out — 180–200 × 80–90 ft — and the floor markings vary by league enough that we would rather not print a wrong one. The men's half field works for most indoor drill sheets in the meantime.
