Botanical Print Bridal Shower Invitations

Botanical print bridal shower invitations styled after the plates in an old flower book. Botanical Plate Rose draws an engraved rose with its Latin caption, "Rosa centifolia · Plate XII", inside a ruled plate border, above "BRIDAL SHOWER" and the bride's name in script. Pressed Flowers arranges fine-line blooms and a fern like a page from a flower press under "A GARDEN BRIDAL SHOWER". The backs carry a small engraved bud or a pressed-flower crest above the details. Choose Sage & Ivory, Burgundy & Gold, Ivory & Gold, Mauve & Champagne, Champagne & Blush or Navy & Silver.

Hosting tip
If the bride loves gardens, ask guests to bring a cutting, seed packet or bulb instead of a card, and tuck a small envelope in each invitation for it. Afterwards, the collection becomes the start of the couple's first garden, which is far easier to remember than a stack of greeting cards.
How it works

Details, wording, colors, download

Open any design above in the maker. Type the bride's name, the date and the place; the back repeats the frame and sets the details in small capitals, with one line for the registry, the attire or what will be served. These are made for good card stock: a smooth 110 lb ivory or cream sheet shows the fine lines best.

Pick one of the three palettes drawn for the design, then download a 5 x 7 PDF (front and back), a two-per-sheet letter PDF for home printing, print-shop PNGs with bleed, 4 x 6 PNGs for a photo counter, a phone-sized PNG to text or email, or a Word file. For more lines to put on the card, see the bridal shower invitation wording ideas and the etiquette guide.

Frequently asked questions

Can I change the Latin caption?
Yes. On Botanical Plate Rose the caption is part of the editable headline, so you can name a different flower, write the couple's names, or delete it and keep only "BRIDAL SHOWER".
Which design suits a garden brunch?
Pressed Flowers, labeled "A GARDEN BRIDAL SHOWER" with the sample note "Garden brunch", in Mauve & Champagne. Botanical Plate Rose is set for a garden luncheon.
