Christmas Party Invitation Emails and Letters for Work

8 ready-to-send samples for a company or team holiday party: a company-wide email, a casual team note, a letter to clients, a manager's short note, a reminder, a chat announcement, a version for remote teams and one that covers plus-ones, dress code and dietary needs. Replace the words in square brackets and send.

Before you send

What every work party invitation needs

A work invitation is read quickly, on a phone, between meetings. Lead with the two facts people act on, the date and the RSVP deadline, then give the venue, the time it starts and ends, and whether partners or guests are welcome. Say what is provided, including non-alcoholic drinks and how to flag a dietary need, and name one person to contact.

Keep attendance genuinely optional in the wording. A line such as “no need to reply if you can’t make it” makes the RSVP count more accurate, not less. If the company sends a printed or image invitation as well, the office Christmas party invitation designs download as a phone-sized PNG to attach.

Frequently asked questions

What should a company holiday party invitation email include?
The date, start and end time, the venue with the full address, whether partners or guests are invited, the dress code, what is provided (food, drinks, non-alcoholic options), how and by when to RSVP, and who to ask about dietary or access needs. Put the date and the RSVP deadline in the first two lines; many people read no further.
How far ahead should I send it?
Three to four weeks for an evening party at a venue, two weeks for an in-office lunch. Send the RSVP reminder about a week before the caterer needs final numbers.
Should I say Christmas party or holiday party at work?
Most workplaces say holiday party, so the invitation reads as open to everyone. The samples here do that; switch the wording if your company calls it a Christmas party.
Can I attach a printed-style invitation to the email?
Yes. Make one in the Christmas party invitation maker and download the phone-sized PNG, which is light enough to attach or paste into the body of the email.
