Indian Engagement & Ring Ceremony Invitations

Three Indian engagement invitations for a ring ceremony, sagai or engagement ceremony, each labeled with the families. Ring Ceremony hangs a marigold toran with mango leaves across the top, runs paisley down the sides and sets two rings in a mandala medallion, with "Hosted by the Sharma and Mehta families" on the back. Sagai Medallion frames two rings in a mandala with marigolds under Join Our Families for the Sagai Ceremony. Jharokha Photo sets a framed 4:3 photo window inside a jharokha arch with diyas, headed Engagement Ceremony, with "Lunch to follow" on the back. All three are ivory paper with red, marigold, rani pink or peacock linework rather than a solid red card, so they print cleanly at home.

Hosting tip
Many families send the printed card to elders and a phone image to everyone else. Download both from the same design: the 5 x 7 PDF for the cards you hand over or post, and the phone-sized PNG for WhatsApp, so the wording and colors match exactly.
How it works

Details, wording, colors, download

Open any design above in the maker. One of these designs has a photo window for an engagement photo: drop in a picture and drag it until it sits where you want it. Type both names, the date and the venue; the label carries the families' line (TOGETHER WITH THEIR FAMILIES) and the back names the hosts, such as "Hosted by the Sharma and Mehta families", with room for the meal or the order of the day.

Pick one of the three palettes drawn for the design, then download a 5 x 7 PDF (front and back), a two-per-sheet letter PDF for home printing, print-shop PNGs with bleed, 4 x 6 PNGs for a photo counter, a phone-sized PNG to text or email, or a Word file. For more lines to put on the card, see the engagement party invitation wording ideas and the etiquette guide.

Frequently asked questions

Can the invitation come from both families?
Yes. The front carries the label Together with Their Families (or Join Our Families for the), and the back note names the hosts, for example "Hosted by the Sharma and Mehta families". Both are editable.
Which palettes have gold?
Red & Gold, Peacock & Gold, Rani Pink & Gold, Ivory & Gold and Marigold & Gold all print a warm gold-toned accent. Marigold & Rani Pink, on Ring Ceremony, uses rani pink instead of gold.
Can I write the invitation in Hindi or another language?
The text is fully editable, but the maker's fonts are Latin-script fonts, so the wording works best in English or a language written in the Latin alphabet.
