New Year's Eve Cocktail Party Invitations

New Year's Eve cocktail party invitations: Shaken & Stirred with a martini, a shaker and olives, Retro Lounge with atomic stars and a cherry coupe in mid-century style, and Olive & Twist with a rocks glass, an olive and a lemon twist in clean modern type. They work for an upstairs lounge, a cocktail hour at home or a studio party the weekend after. Type the hosts, the hour and the dress code, and download.

Hosting tip
Name one signature drink on the back note and make a zero-proof version in the same glass. A cocktail mixed by the pitcher keeps the host out from behind the bar, and the matching mocktail means nobody is holding an obviously different drink at midnight.
How it works

Details, wording, colors, download

Open any design above in the maker. Type your names or your host as it should read on a formal card, the date badge and the venue; the back carries the details again with one line for the dress code, a midnight toast or, for a wedding, the reception. Gold and deco designs keep their look in every palette, all printed on light paper.

Pick one of the three palettes drawn for the design, then download a 5 x 7 PDF (front and back), a two-per-sheet letter PDF for home printing, print-shop PNGs with bleed, 4 x 6 PNGs for a photo counter, a phone-sized PNG or a Word file. For more lines to put on the card, see the New Year’s invitation wording ideas.

Frequently asked questions

Can the cocktail party be after New Year's Eve?
Yes. The Olive & Twist sample is a design studio's party on Saturday, Jan 2, with "Bring your best toast" on the back. Change the date badge and the details, and the card works for any night of the holiday week.
What dress code goes on a cocktail party invitation?
Most hosts write cocktail attire: a suit or blazer, a cocktail dress or dressy separates. The Retro Lounge sample asks for "Swanky attire" instead, a looser nod to its mid-century lounge, and adds "Live lounge trio".
