Bowling Card Templates

Free printable bowling card templates for league nights, USBC tournaments, scratch and handicap leagues, youth (YABA / Junior Gold). The Position field carries the lineup spot (Lead-Off, 2nd, 3rd, Anchor, Captain) plus the average. 2.5″ × 3.5″ trading-card size, 3.5″ × 5″ frame keepsake, 9-up team sheets.

Bowling is the sport with the longest league season in America — 30+ weeks at most centers, the same five people on the same lane every Tuesday night for decades. The cards live in that league culture. Use the lineup position in the Position field — Lead-Off, 2nd, 3rd, Anchor, Captain — and the team field for the league name ("Tuesday Night Mixed", "USBC Senior Sport", "Friday Pizza & Beer").

Tournament weekends are when the cards get printed in volume — USBC Open / Women's tournaments, USBC Senior Champs, Junior Gold for the kids, scratch leagues' year-end banquets. Print one Enlarged 3.5″ × 5″ for each team in a 4-person lineup. Hang the team sheet in the bowling alley's awards corner. The PDF runs in your browser; no upload, no account.

Cards for the lane the team has been on for 20 years

League bowling has the most consistent attendance pattern of any sport — same five people, same lane, same Tuesday for decades. The cards mark those long arcs. From bowling secretaries and league captains:

  • Year-end banquet card per teammate. Most leagues hold a year-end banquet in late April or early May. One Enlarged 3.5″ × 5″ per bowler with the season average in the position field. Frame, present, drink.
  • Team sheet for the alley wall. The 9-up Team sheet hangs in the bowling alley's bulletin board. Captures the entire roster of one team. Hangs for years; new sheets get added; old ones never come down.
  • 300-game or 800-series card. Print the day it happens. Date in the position field. The bowler frames it; the alley posts a copy in the awards corner. The 800-series card is the rarer keepsake — most bowlers go a lifetime without one.
  • Tournament team gift. USBC Open / Women's championships, state tournaments — print one Enlarged per teammate in matching team-color shirts photographed at the lanes. Goes in the team's tournament scrapbook.
  • Senior league anniversary. 25-year, 30-year, 50-year league members — the bowling alley's senior leagues have absurd longevity. Print an Enlarged with the year-they-joined in the team field.
  • Anchor average milestone. First 200 average season. First 220. First 230. Print a card the night the bowler crosses the threshold. Position field: "Anchor — First 220 Avg".

Frequently asked questions

What goes in the Position field for bowling?
Lineup spot. Lead-Off (1st bowler), 2nd, 3rd, Anchor (last bowler — usually the highest average), Captain. Some leagues add the season average ("Anchor / 198"). Youth leagues use age division ("U-15 Anchor"). Scratch league bowlers often write their book average ("Lead / 215").
Are these for USBC league play?
Yes — USBC sanctioned leagues are a top use case. The cards work for league night rosters, end-of-season banquets, USBC Open / Women's championships, USBC Senior, Adult-Junior, and the Sport Bowling division. The team field handles "USBC Mixed", "Women's Trios", "Senior Sport", "Adult-Junior" cleanly.
Are these for youth bowling — Junior Gold, YABA?
Yes. Junior Gold (USBC's youth premier event), YABA, school bowling teams, summer leagues all use them. The Position field handles age division ("U-15 Anchor", "U-12 Lead"). Youth bowling banquets are a heavy print moment in late spring.
What about for a 300-game or 800-series achievement?
Keepsake use case. Print an Enlarged 3.5″ × 5″ the night the bowler hits a 300 (perfect game) or an 800 series. Date in the team field, achievement in the position field ("300 Game — May 14, 2026" or "800 Series — 268-279-285"). Frame for the bowler's wall or the league's plaque board.
