Hosting tip
Ask for the recipe as well as the cookies: "Bring two dozen and a copy of your recipe for each guest". Add "Bring a container" so the swap doesn't end with everyone balancing paper plates to the car.
How it works

Details, wording, colors, download

Open any design above in the maker. One of these designs has a photo window: drop in a picture and drag it until it sits where you want it. Type the family or your names as hosts, the date and the address; the back carries the details and one practical line: what to bring, whether kids are welcome, the hours for an open house. The wording ideas list has family and food lines ready to drop in.

Pick one of the three palettes drawn for the design, then download a 5 x 7 PDF (front and back), a two-per-sheet letter PDF for home printing, print-shop PNGs with bleed, 4 x 6 PNGs for a photo counter, a phone-sized PNG or a Word file. For more lines to put on the card, see the Christmas party invitation wording ideas.

Frequently asked questions

How many cookies should each guest bring?
Two dozen is the usual ask and the line on all three samples. With a large group, try a dozen to swap plus a dozen to taste, so nobody is baking ten dozen.
Can I use a photo of my own cookies?
Sprinkle Ring has a photo window, and a picture of last year's tray suits it. Cookie Plate and Cooling Rack are illustrated.
