Task Assignment Sheet Template
An assignment sheet is the handoff document: for this period, these tasks go to these people, with due dates and priorities, and each person confirms they have them. The ✓ column records acceptance, the summary counts assigned and accepted per person, and two signature lines — assigned by, acknowledged by — make it the paper that ends the who-was-supposed-to-do-that conversation. Team names are typed once and feed the dropdown.
The assignment sheet, three ways.
Assignment is a conversation with a signature at the end.
The reason to get an assignment acknowledged is not distrust; it is that the moment of handoff is when the objection surfaces — I am off that day, that needs two people, I have never done that. A sheet that asks for a tick and a signature invites the objection while it is still cheap to fix.
Keep the signed sheets. For anything with a safety, payroll, or client dimension, the acknowledged assignment is the record that settles the later question.
