Tree Trimming Party Invitations

Tree trimming party invitations for decorating the tree together: Bare Tree, an undressed tree waiting for ornaments under a dashed-outline star, and Ornament Rail, a photo window beneath hanging ornaments in plum and pink. Early December is the natural time, and both samples ask guests to bring an ornament. Type the family name and the time, add a photo and download.

Hosting tip

Keep a paint pen by the tree and have each guest write their name and the year on the ornament they bring. In a few years the tree is a guest book.

Details, wording, colors, download

Open any design above in the maker. One of these designs has a photo window: drop in a picture and drag it until it sits where you want it. Type the family or your names as hosts, the date and the address; the back carries the details and one practical line: what to bring, whether kids are welcome, the hours for an open house. The wording ideas list has family and food lines ready to drop in.

Pick one of the three palettes drawn for the design, then download a 5 x 7 PDF (front and back), a two-per-sheet letter PDF for home printing, print-shop PNGs with bleed, 4 x 6 PNGs for a photo counter, a phone-sized PNG or a Word file. For more lines to put on the card, see the Christmas party invitation wording ideas.
