The letterpress seal, explained

A 1920s small-press look: sepia type on a parchment ground, with two initials struck into an oxblood seal at the top right where a printer’s chop would sit. It is the only monogram letterhead here that puts the mark in the corner rather than on the centre line, which leaves the top of the page clear for a long company name or a full address stack. Vintage shops, presses, bookbinders and anyone trading on craft will recognise the register at once.

The seal takes two initials by design — a surname pair or a company’s two-letter mark — and the lettering sizes itself to fit either.

Specifications: US Letter, 8.5 × 11 inches, portrait. The Word download is a .dotx template with the artwork embedded at print resolution; it opens in Word 2007 through Microsoft 365, including Word for Mac. The Google Docs button opens a copy in your own Drive. One page, fully editable, free — no account and no watermark.
