Logomark Maker

One or two initials knocked out in white on a rounded corporate tile, set beside the wordmark. Pick the letters, the face, the size and the tile color, and download it ready to write.

The third of the tile family, after the Square Monogram and the Initial Tile. All three invert what the rest of the collection does — the ground carries the color and the letters stay white — and this is the structural one: a squarer corner, a heavier weight, and the mark set beside the wordmark rather than above the letter.

Common questions

Why can I only change the tile color, not the letter color?

White type knocked out of a solid ground is what gives a block monogram its punch — it is the whole idea of the mark. Any two colors close in value would also make it unreadable. So the letters stay white and the color control drives the tile.

How many initials can I use?

One or two. Leave the second box empty for a single-letter mark. For a three-letter block mark, the Square Monogram maker takes three.

Is this only for large companies?

No. The contact columns are written in a corporate register because that is the letterhead the mark lives on, but every line is editable — it suits a two-person studio as readily as a listed company.
