Noon Year's Eve invitations for a kids' countdown at midday: Noon Countdown with an alarm clock and balloons on a star-and-dot back, Hats & Balloons with party hats, balloons and a noon clock, and Clock Photo, a photo inside a clock face. Hosting tip
Make the balloon drop the main event: fill a plastic tablecloth or an old sheet with balloons, tape it to the ceiling, and pull the string at noon. Keep latex balloons and popped pieces away from children under eight, who can choke on them.
How it works

Details, wording, colors, download

Open any design above in the maker. One of these designs has a photo window: drop in a picture and drag it until it sits where you want it. Type the family, the church or your names as hosts, the day and the hours; an open house puts its time range on the RSVP line. The back carries one practical line: what to bring, whether kids are welcome, parking, or the time a Noon Year's Eve countdown starts.

Pick one of the three palettes drawn for the design, then download a 5 x 7 PDF (front and back), a two-per-sheet letter PDF for home printing, print-shop PNGs with bleed, 4 x 6 PNGs for a photo counter, a phone-sized PNG or a Word file. For more lines to put on the card, see the New Year’s invitation wording ideas.

Frequently asked questions

What is a Noon Year's Eve party?
A New Year's Eve countdown moved to noon, so little kids get the confetti, the toast and the cheering without staying up. The samples start at 10:30 or 11 AM on Thursday, Dec 31, which leaves time to play before the big moment.
What do kids toast with?
Juice. The samples say "Apple-juice toast at noon!" and "Juice-box toast & balloon drop at noon". Plastic flutes make it feel like the grown-up version.
Can I put my child's photo on it?
Yes, on Clock Photo, where the picture sits inside the clock face. Noon Countdown and Hats & Balloons are illustrated.
