New Year's Potluck Invitations

New Year's potluck invitations: Casserole with a covered dish over gingham, and Dish Shelf with a pot, a pie and a casserole under bunting. The samples are a family backyard potluck on Saturday, Jan 2 and a neighborhood clubhouse potluck on New Year's Day, and each back has a bring-a-dish line. Type the host, the place and the RSVP, then print a stack for the clubhouse board or send the PNG.

Hosting tip
Ask everyone to tape a card to their dish with its name and main ingredients, as the Dish Shelf sample does ("Bring a dish to share · Label your recipe"). Guests with allergies can fill a plate without quizzing the cooks, and the good recipes go home with someone.
How it works

Details, wording, colors, download

Open any design above in the maker. Type the family, the church or your names as hosts, the day and the hours; an open house puts its time range on the RSVP line. The back carries one practical line: what to bring, whether kids are welcome, parking, or the time a Noon Year's Eve countdown starts.

Pick one of the three palettes drawn for the design, then download a 5 x 7 PDF (front and back), a two-per-sheet letter PDF for home printing, print-shop PNGs with bleed, 4 x 6 PNGs for a photo counter, a phone-sized PNG or a Word file. For more lines to put on the card, see the New Year’s invitation wording ideas.

Frequently asked questions

How do I word a New Year's potluck invitation?
Keep it to the date, the place, the RSVP and the ask: "Bring a dish to share", the line on both samples. If you want to balance the table, add "Tell us what you're bringing" to the RSVP line.
Is there a design for a neighborhood or clubhouse potluck?
Dish Shelf. Its sample is the Willow Creek Neighbors at the clubhouse on Friday, Jan 1 at 1 PM; use the host line for the street or the association.
Can a New Year's Eve potluck be kid friendly?
Yes. Change the date to Thursday, Dec 31, start in the afternoon and add "Kids welcome" to the note. The Casserole sample is a family backyard party that begins at 4.
