Christian Wedding Invitations

The Scripture design pairs olive branches with a Bible verse, and sets the verse alone above two interlocked rings on the back of the invitation. It opens in Ivory & Gold, with Navy & Gold and Dusty Blue as the other palettes. The sample is worded for a Catholic Nuptial Mass, "in the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony", and carries the verse "A threefold cord is not quickly broken. Ecclesiastes 4:12" at the top.

Planning tip
If your ceremony is a Mass, many couples say so on the invitation, as the sample does, so guests can plan for a longer service before the reception.
How it works

Names, wording, colors, download

Open a design above in the maker. Type both names, the date and time, the venue and the city once, and the suite fills in. Ceremonial lines on these designs are switched on or off in the maker and print exactly as written; bilingual backs, events cards and sponsors cards are edited line by line.

Choose one of the three palettes drawn for the design, then download the whole suite as Letter or A4 sheets with crop marks, any single card as a PDF, print-shop PNGs with bleed, a Word file, or a phone-sized picture of the invitation to text. For the words, see the wedding invitation wording guide; for envelopes and timing, the wedding invitation etiquette guide.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use a different verse or none at all?
Yes. The verse is optional on the front and on the back: switch it on or off, or type the passage you have chosen. It prints exactly as written, so check the reference before you print. The small symbol in the artwork is optional too.
Is it only for a Catholic wedding?
No. Change the request and the sacrament line to suit your church; the olive and the verse fit a Protestant or nondenominational service just as well.
