Muslim Wedding Invitations (Nikah)

Nikah Geometric is drawn in geometric and arabesque linework and sets a single eight-point star rosette on the back of the invitation. It opens in Emerald & Gold, with Navy & Gold and Blush & Rose Gold as the other palettes. The sample requests "the honour of your presence at the Nikah of their daughter", and the events card, headed NIKAH & WALIMA, lists the Mehndi, the Nikah, Baraat & Rukhsati and a Walima "Hosted by the Ahmed family".

Planning tip
When the Walima is hosted by the other family, as in the sample, say so on the events card so guests know whom to thank and where to reply.
How it works

Names, wording, colors, download

Open a design above in the maker. Type both names, the date and time, the venue and the city once, and the suite fills in. Ceremonial lines on these designs are switched on or off in the maker and print exactly as written; bilingual backs, events cards and sponsors cards are edited line by line.

Choose one of the three palettes drawn for the design, then download the whole suite as Letter or A4 sheets with crop marks, any single card as a PDF, print-shop PNGs with bleed, a Word file, or a phone-sized picture of the invitation to text. For the words, see the wedding invitation wording guide; for envelopes and timing, the wedding invitation etiquette guide.

Frequently asked questions

Can I include the Bismillah?
Yes. The Arabic line بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم and its English line, "In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful", are each optional: switch either on or off. They start switched off and print exactly as written.
Can I list only the Nikah and the Walima?
Yes. Each event on the card has its own heading and lines, so you can leave out the Mehndi or the Baraat and keep the rest.
