Choosing the engraved crest over the plain ring

The double ring with the gold accent is the more formal of the two circular marks in this collection. It belongs on stationery that will be kept — a family office, an estate, a firm that still sends letters by post — where a single hairline circle would feel too light. The gold inner ring is drawn, not a font effect, so it prints cleanly on an ordinary laser printer and does not band the way a gradient would.

Use one initial for a surname or a house; the engraved ring is proportioned for one letter and will look crowded with two.
