Reading the card

What's on a bunco score card

Name line

Write your name before the first roll. The card travels with you, not the table.

4 sets by 6 rounds

Each column is a set, each row a round, and the die printed beside the row shows the number you roll for. Tick the win or loss box after the bell. A four-set night fills the whole grid; a three-set night leaves the last column empty.

Tally bar: wins, losses, BUNCOs, baby BUNCOs

The navy band at the bottom is where the night is decided. Count the ticks, write the totals, and hand the card to the host; prizes for Most Wins, Most BUNCOs, Most Baby BUNCOs and Most Losses all come from this bar.

Step by step

How to fill out a bunco score card

  1. Print the sheet, cut along the dotted guides, and hand one card to each player with a pencil.
  2. When the head table rings the bell, decide which pair at your table had more points on the table tally.
  3. Winners tick the win box for that round and set; losers tick the loss box.
  4. If you rolled a BUNCO or a baby bunco during the round, tally it in the bar at the bottom as you go so you don’t forget.
  5. Rotate tables, swap partners, and repeat through round 6 and all four sets.
  6. Total the tally bar and turn the card in for prizes. The full bunco rules explain scoring and rotation.

Bunco score cards, frequently asked

How many bunco score cards do I print?
One per player: 12 for a standard night, so three sheets of the 4-per-page PDF. Print a couple of spares for substitutes. Table tally sheets are separate; you need one per table, not one per player.
What do the boxes on a bunco score card mean?
The grid is 4 sets across and 6 rounds down; the small die beside each row shows the number you're rolling for. After each round, tick the box for a win or a loss. The tally bar at the bottom is where you total wins, losses, BUNCOs and baby BUNCOs at the end of the night, which is what the prizes are decided from.
Can I fill the score card in on my phone or computer instead of printing?
Yes. Every write-on spot is a real form field, so the PDF works in Acrobat, Preview, Chrome, and most phone PDF apps. Most groups still print, because passing a phone around the table slows the round.
Do you have a 3-set or 3-round bunco score card?
The card has four set columns and six round rows. For a three-set night, leave set 4 blank; the tally bar still works. If your group plays fewer rounds per set, cross out the unused rows before you start.
What's the difference between a bunco score card and a table tally sheet?
The score card is personal: it follows one player from table to table all night and records their wins, losses and BUNCOs. The table tally stays at the table and records the running points for Us and Them during each round. You need both. The tally sheets are on their own page.
Are the themed score cards the same layout?
Yes. Every theme uses the identical 4-set by 6-round card, so a group that learned on the classic card can switch to the Halloween or Christmas version without re-explaining anything. Only the colors, the header script and the corner motif change.
