Sudoku for a 5-year-old — FAQ.

What level for a 5 year old?

Start at Easy. The only difference between levels is how many numbers begin filled in — Easy gives the most. Move up only when they finish one with a smile and ask for another.

How long should it take?

A first 4x4 might take 5–10 focused minutes with a little company; soon it is a couple of minutes solo. Short, winnable puzzles build the habit.
