Sudoku for 6 Year Olds

Six is the sweet spot to step up to the 6×6 (numbers 1–6). It is meatier than the 4×4 but still solvable purely by scanning for the missing number — no advanced tricks, no dead ends. If 6×6 feels long, the 4×4 is one click away.

Sudoku for a 6-year-old — FAQ.

Is a 6 year old ready for 6x6?

Usually yes if 4x4 Easy is quick for them. If 6x6 stalls, drop back to 4x4 Medium for a week — momentum matters more than grid size.

Good for first grade?

Very. Print a class set at Easy; it is a calm, no-prep activity and every puzzle has exactly one answer so checking is trivial.
