Sudoku for 8 Year Olds

Eight-year-olds can take the 6×6 at Medium or Hard (numbers 1–6). It is a satisfying challenge that still solves by logic and scanning only. When 6×6 Hard is easy, the full 9×9 (in the classic generator) is the natural next step.

Is an 8 year old ready for 9x9?

Some are. Master 6x6 Hard first; then try the full 9x9 on Easy in the classic generator. If 9x9 frustrates, stay on 6x6 a while longer.
